It points out, in particular, how girls perceive menstruation, whether girls have any knowledge about menstruation, and what bio-psycho-social effects menstruation has on girls. The first part of the work is theoretical, describes the anatomy of the female genital organs, sexual development of women, phases of the menstrual cycle, hormones affecting the menstrual cycle, disorders of the menstrual cycle, history about menstruation, myths of menstruation, and the religious conception of menstruation. The second part of the work is empirical, contains the objectives of the work, its assumptions, and evaluation of the results of the questionnaire survey. The research aimed to learn what menstruation means for girls, what they experience, to chart their knowledge about menstruation, and to find out how menstruation has a bio-psycho- social impact on girls.
